BME Alumni Career Success

Biomedical engineers, working in academic environments, industry, or clinical centers, are uniquely trained to make fundamental contributions to improving human health.

BME @ CCNY has had tremendous success over the past 15+ years in placing our students. We have over 500 undergraduate alumni from our department and over 100 PhD alumni. Below is just a small sampling of where some of our students have gone onto.

Many have gone directly into these jobs or programs after graduation, while some have had additional training. They include jobs in pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, general engineering firms, local and federal governments, and in major hospitals. In other cases, students have gone on to medical school, MS, or PhD programs in academia. Many alumni are employed as engineers, scientists/researchers, patient-facing jobs, professors, data analysts and others.
