The CUNY EDGE program, an initiative implemented by the City University of New York and the Human Resources Administration, provides assistance and supplemental resources to eligible students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree. Our program supports the college retention, development, and graduation of our student population. CUNY EDGE students must meet both specific academic and income requirements such as matriculation and an active public assistance case from the Human Resources Administration (HRA).
CUNY EDGE (EDUCATE, DEVELOP, GRADUATE and EMPOWER), formerly known as COPE, is an initiative implemented by the City University of New York and the Human Resources Administration (HRA.) The goal is to support the specific needs of students who are receiving government assistance and are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
CUNY EDGE balances academic advising and personal support with career/employment readiness while maintaining students’ compliance with HRA regulations. Our program integrates elements of successful college completion programs with work opportunities, personal development, and academic excellence.
