Senior Recruitment Program

The Senior Recruiting Program is available to bachelor and masters degree students who are graduating in the current academic year or who obtained their degree less than six months prior and are seeking full time employment after graduation.The program is designed to assist students with the career management process and focus on:

• Building a professional personal portfolio (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile)
• Learning how to conduct industry research and job search strategies
• Enhancing interview skills
• Exploring the changes in behavior and attitude required for success in the workplace

Benefits to Students

After completing the requirements of the program, students will:

• Have their resume referred directly to organizations hiring candidates with their credentials
• Be invited to special employer networking and hiring events
• Be able to reflect and articulate their personal and professional experiences as they relate to: knowledge and skills required by top employers
• Develop a career plan of action based on skills and knowledge base, to identify career options
• Know and utilize the necessary tools to conduct job search (resume, cover letter, interviewing, building an on-line presence)
• Be assigned to a career professional that will provide guidance and support throughout the year

Program Requirements

Students applying for the Senior Recruitment Program must meet the following criteria for acceptance into the program:

• Bachelor, Master or PhD student who is graduating in the current academic year or obtained their degree less than six months prior
• Submit application through their CCNY Career Connections account
• Complete the CPDI online workshop - Access provided after your application is processed
• Have an approved resume on CCNY Career Connections - It is recommended that you schedule an appointment to MEET WITH A CAREER COACH at the same time you are submitting the application if you do not already have an approved resume on CCNY Career Connections.
• Attend the required CPDI Senior Recruitment Program Meeting - the instructions for scheduling the meeting are provided after the online workshop quiz has been completed
