Undergraduate childhood education majors, and those interested in becoming majors, are advised by faculty members through the Office of Student Services in North Academic Center, Room 3/223. Advisement is MANDATORY for current and prospective undergraduate childhood education majors every semester.
Between the third and fourth week of each semester, students will receive an email notifying them that they can sign up for an advisory appointment. It is each student's responsibility to sign up for advisory appointments with the receptionist in North Academic Center, Room 3/223. Students who do not come for advisement will have a STOP placed on their registration, thus prohibiting them from being able to register for classes.
Please Note:
Advising appointments fill up fast, so please make sure that you go to North Academic Center, Room 3/223 as soon as the email from the staff goes out to secure an early advisement appointment. Also, make sure that you write down and keep your appointment day and time in a safe place. If you miss your appointment, it is highly likely that you will receive a much later advisement date (usually after registration begins).
