CCNY Workshops

Dear CCNY Community, 

The Teaching and Learning Center invites you to register for our Brightspace training workshop series, which will be facilitated by TLC consultants. There are many opportunities for training in addition to these workshops! We recommend the self-paced Brightspace Essentials course developed by our friends at the School of Professional Studies. CUNY Central is also offering multiple workshops to help prepare you for the transition. 

Workshops

• Course Site Design (Kevaughn Hunter): This hands-on workshop will help you build a course site that will be easy for your students to navigate. Good course site design improves student engagement!
• Quizzes/Assignments (Kevaughn Hunter): This hands-on workshop will help you navigate and create quizzes and assignments on Brightspace. 
• Building Your Course in Brightspace; Working with Blackboard Content (Brian Eberle): If you’ve logged into Brightspace, you’ve probably seen that the last four years of Blackboard course sites have already been imported. In this workshop, we’ll lead you through the process of importing or copying course content into your upcoming course and checking the site to make sure everything is in order. If you’d like to run through this process on your own time, you might find this guide to working with migrated courses helpful. 
• Grade Center (Jonathan McVey & Kayle Nochomovitz): Join us for a workshop focused on navigating Brightspace's Grade Center. Learn to configure weighted grades and manage point-based assessments effectively on the Brightspace LMS. This session will equip you with the skills to optimize grading efficiency.
