City College Campus Posting Policy
- Approval to post posters and flyers on College property must be obtained from the appropriate authority – the Student Life Office ( clubreg@ccny.cuny.edu ) for student events and the Events Management Office ( ccnyevents@ccny.cuny.edu ) for department and division events.
- All printed materials to be posted must be approved by and bear the stamp of CCNY Student Life & Leadership Development or the Events Management Office.
- Posting is only allowed on designated bulletin boards. Flyers cannot be placed on walls, windows/glass, entrances, elevators and grounds. Improperly posted flyers will be removed by college staff.
- Outdoor posting is prohibited. Do not post on light posts, trash receptacles, trees, walls or sidewalks, windows or any surface that is not a bulletin board. Any materials that are not posted on bulletin boards will be removed.
- Student event flyers to be posted must be submitted to clubreg@ccny.cuny.edu for approval and be digitally stamped before duplicating & posting.
- Division or Department sponsored events must be submitted to ccnyevents@ccny.cuny.edu for approval and to be digitally stamped prior to duplicating and posting.
- Each club/organization/department is allowed to post TWO FLYERS per bulletin board, per event/announcement. The maximum size allowed for posters is 22 inches by 28 inches (22” x 28”).
- No flyers advertising an event may be posted until the event has been approved and the space assigned.
- All event publicity must bear the sponsoring organization's name. It must also include the event's date, time, and location and admission charges, if any. (Note: the Office of Student Life must approve admission charges.)
- Political campaign materials from external organizations and commercial advertisements unrelated to the College's mission or the direct interests of the College community are not permitted for posting.
- Permission is required from the Department of Student Life or CCNY Events Management to advertise events off-campus.
- Bulletin boards assigned to specific divisions, programs, or the like should be respected.
- Please respect others and do not post over or tear down materials belonging to other groups.
