Alumni dinner celebrates academic excellence

The Alumni Association of The City College of New York’s annual dinner at the Hilton hotel is always a big night for both CCNY alumni and current students. In addition to Townsend Harris medals to select alumni for outstanding postgraduate achievement, the event celebrates academic excellence. This year, 60 students are recipients of Alumni Association scholarships for their academic achievements. Kevin R. Foster is the Interim Dean of the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership. His appointment follows the naming of the School’s dean, Vincent Boudreau, as Interim President of The City College of New York. An Associate Professor, Foster has served as chair of the Colin Powell School’s department of Economics and Business, where he has taught since joining City College in 1998. Antonio Tibaldi is one of several notable filmmakers in The City College of New York’s Department of Media and Communication Arts. His impressive body of work includes five feature films. CCNY four qualify for Stanford global fellowship program

Vincent Boudreau is the Interim President of The City College of New York. His appointment, announced by CUNY Chancellor James B. Milliken, is effective immediately.
