CCNY’s Iliana Ortega makes list of top 50 Ad students in US

Iliana Ortega, an Ad/PR major at The City College of New York, is one of 50 undergraduate seniors nationwide in the American Advertising Federation's Most Promising Multicultural Students Class of 2017.

The standout students were selected by top advertising executives representing Arc Worldwide, Bloomberg, Droga5, FCB, fluent360, mcgarrybowen, Momentum Worldwide and Omnicom Health Group.

"The Most Promising Multicultural Students Program has become a very reliable source to find top-tier talent. These aspiring students of diverse backgrounds represent the future of marketing and advertising,” said Danielle Austen, Managing Partner & CEO, fluent360 and the AAF Mosaic Center Chair.

Ortega will join other members of the elite AAF Class of 2017 in New York in February for four days of workshops, career fairs and networking with leading advertising firms.

This is the second major Ad/PR honor for the Washington Heights resident. She was a 2016 MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Intern Program) Fellow and spent the summer interning at ad firm Merkley + Partners in lower Manhattan.

Ortega will graduate from CCNY in 2017 with a double major in Ad/PR and English literature.
