NYC Residents

NEW NYC Residents students may take one session at a time. In order for us to consider your application, you must pay the full tuition of $925 for each session. We have a payment plan available, but a 50% tuition deposit + $25 Registration Fee will still be required at time of registration.

Ready to apply? NYC Resident students who wish to study at the English Language Institute as a full-time student must apply here first.   Please follow the process below and instructions emailed to you:

2. Once you have applied, an ELI staff will send you a Next Steps Email with payment instruction, including creating a Xenegrade registration account, a payment plan, and taking an online level testing.

3. Once you have paid tuition, we will send you an Admission Email with further instructions.

The English Language Institute offers intensive English mostly to students seeking to be admitted to college.  If you are a NYC resident and would like to take non-intensive (twice a week) classes for free, you may apply to our NYSED WIOA-funded English classes.   However, while the classes are free of charge, there is also a long waiting list to get in.  These classes are designed for members of our community to improve their everyday English and workplace English.   You may find more information here and learn about the eligibility requirements.
