If You Are Experiencing a Crisis, We Want to Help You
Daytime/Walk-in Crisis Services are available to students whose crisis affects their own or others’ safety. Students who need to be seen by a counselor, because their own or others’ safety is at risk, may call the Counseling Center at (212) 650-8222 to schedule a consultation appointment or can simply stop by the Counseling Center and ask to speak with a counselor. Upon calling or arriving at the Counseling Center, the student should state that they are having an emergency. Counselors are available to offer support, explore resources, and identify next steps.
If you are on campus and you feel the crisis is urgent but the Counseling Center is closed, please contact Public Safety at (212) 650 - 7777 or call the Crisis line at (800) 273 - 8255.
If you are in a Life-Threatening situation while off-campus, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
