Meet some of the remarkable young men and women in The City College of New York Class of 2014. The students chosen for this year’s Great Grads salute not only excel in the classroom; they have personal stories that inspire us and illustrate the transformative power of higher education, as well. They were nominated by their professors and represent all schools and divisions of the College.
Among them are a Brooklyn native raised in Nigeria who became a White House intern, an engineering graduate student who ran in the New York City marathon to raise funds to support undergraduates in her program and a counselor for youth at-risk who decided to return to college to be “a living example to the young people I help.”
