PASE and Colin Powell School MPA Program Empower Emerging Nonprofit Leaders

MPA PACE

For the second consecutive year, PASE partnered with the Colin Powell School's MPA Program to deliver Emerging Leaders in Nonprofit Management: A Course for Youth Program Professionals. This three-month cohort program is presented in collaboration with the Partnership for After School Education and the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at The City College of New York.

Since January, participants have met weekly to explore critical issues facing nonprofits, including strategic planning, financial management, human resources, fundraising, advocacy, board relations, and program evaluation. As part of the program, participants also collaborate on a strategic challenge project, analyzing a key issue or opportunity related to nonprofit management and leadership.

On Friday, March 22, the Colin Powell School hosted Emerging Leaders participants and representatives from their organizations for the program’s final presentations and leadership certificate ceremony. The event showcased emerging talent dedicated to advancing equity and improving management in youth-serving, community-based organizations. By investing in leadership development, the program strengthens organizations and enhances outcomes for the youth they serve.
