All items submitted to the CUNY Chancellors’ University Report should have effective dates following these guidelines:
Changes to Academic Programs (Requirements, New Concentrations, New Minors)
Changes published in Chancellor’s Reports (and if needed, approved by Albany) during academic year, August-June, are effective the following Fall semester.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
College Bulletin Updates
The annual College Bulletins are published in the early part of the Fall registration cycle. Changes approved between August and January Chancellor’s Reports are published in the following update of the Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins. Changes approved between January and June may be implemented for the following academic year but will not be entered into the Bulletin until the following year.* I.e. a change published in the December 2017 Chancellor’s Report will be published in the 2018-2019 College Bulletin. A change published in the April 2018 CUR may be effective Fall 2018 but will be published in the 2019-2020 Bulletin.* A change published in the August 2018 CUR or later will be effective Fall 2019 and published in the 2019-2020 Bulletin.
*Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
System Implementation: CUNYfirst and DegreeWorks
Course changes are implemented in CUNYfirst on the schedule for New Courses or Modified Courses/Materials Fees (above) by the Office of Scheduling and Workload. Please contact Leon Tachauer with questions ( scheduling@ccny.cuny.edu ).
Curricular changes are implemented in DegreeWorks on the schedule for Changes to Academic Programs (above) by the DegreeWorks Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar. However, departments are urged to submit changes for the following academic year as early as possible to allow adequate time for implementation in DegreeWorks. Communicating to the College Community
Any curricular changes must be reflected in the 4-year course planning guides in accordance with the effective dates outlined above. Contact the Office of General Education at x8066 for guidance.
