Spring 2025 Sociology Advising

Welcome to all new and returning Sociology Majors and Minors!

I'm a Professor in the Sociology department as well as your Sociology Academic Advisor. As your Sociology Advisor, my job is to:

1. Help you select sociology courses
2. Help you navigate the sociology major/minor
3. Keep you updated on your progress in the major/minor
4. Help connect you to resources
5. Address questions and concerns (and if I can't, I'll work to find out who can).

In addition, I work closely with:

1. The Colin Powell School (CPS) General Education Advisors
   The CPS Gen Ed advisors work with you regarding your General Education Requirements. These are the requirements needed to graduate in addition to completing requirements for the SOC major/minor.
2. The Office of Student Success (OSS)
   The Office of Student Success (OSS) is here to support you beyond the classroom by helping you connect with alumni mentors, prepare for your careers, internships and fellowships.
