WiNS Social Media Manager

Tenzing Lhamo Gurung is an ambitious undergraduate student at the City College of New York, where she serves as the social media manager for CCNY Women in Science(WinS). 

Currently a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Tenzing aspires to become a successful engineer and has always dreamed of making a meaningful contribution to the world. Growing up in an area with limited opportunities, she is determined to utilize every resource available to her in order to learn and give back to her community. Tenzing has a deep passion for working with children and volunteered at local schools during the pandemic. Additionally, as a member of the Red Cross Society, she has participated in various events at hospitals, showcasing her commitment to helping others. She is also a proud member of CCNY racing club. Her ultimate goal is to become the first successful woman engineer from her community and to inspire both girls and boys to pursue their dreams, paving the way for future generations. 

In her spare time, Tenzing enjoys singing, playing volleyball, and ping pong. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of WinS and is dedicated to making a positive impact as a women. She embodies the spirit of perseverance and community service
