Dr. Susan Perkins
Martin and Michele Cohen Dean of Science
Susan Perkins joined CCNY as the Martin and Michele Cohen Dean of Science in January, 2020. A first-generation college graduate and native of northern New York, she earned her Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Vermont in 2000 and held faculty and curatorial positions at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the American Museum of Natural History. Her research has focused on parasitic diseases and microbiome dynamics in wild hosts, including the malaria parasites of lizards, bats, birds, and other animals. Dr. Laurent Mars
Associate Dean of Science
Laurent Mars has been in the Division of Science since 2004, except for a 2-year term as assistant dean for undergraduate affairs in the Grove School of Engineering. He is a data-driven and results-oriented higher education professional with extensive experience in all aspects of university administration, from academic programs design and implementation to grant writing, accreditation and assessment processes, student advising, faculty development, and resource management. Dr. Elizabeth Rudolph
Assistant Dean
Liz has been at CCNY since 2000. She earned her Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science in 2004 from the CUNY Graduate Center. After graduating Elizabeth first worked at CCNY as the Director of the Earth Systems Science and Environmental Engineering, the joint bachelor’s program between the Grove School of Engineering and the Division of Science. In 2008, she moved to the position of Assistant Dean of Science for Accreditation and Masters Programs. She splits her time working on Science Program assessment and coordinating the seven master’s programs. In her spare time she enjoys cycling, quilting and cooking. More...
Michael Boydston-White
Science Facilities Manager
Michael Boydston-White has been working in Science Facilities Management at CUNY since 1996. In 2006, he transferred from the Facilities Management office at Hunter College to the Division of Science at the City College of New York. He is responsible for managing science facilities issues in the Marshak Building and the Center for Discovery and Innovation, and in the Math Department in the NAC building. He interfaces with many other departments on campus, but most often the departments of Facilities Management (including the Office of Environmental Health and Occupational Safety), Campus Safety and Security and various technology departments. Frank Pace
Finance Manager
Frank has been at CCNY since 1977 and had been at the Sophie Davis School until 2012 where he joined the Science Division team. Frank's responsibilities include management of all 21st Century Foundation and City College Funds, including generating purchases, disbursements, new hires, scholarships, etc.. He also serves a main liaison to the Research Foundation, oversees RF-administered grants, and handles tax levy and non tax levy purchases. Frank interests include golfing, exercising, and his beloved NY Jets. More...
