Threatening Phone Call to the Campus – Not an Imminent Threat

Dear Campus Community,

Earlier this morning, Campus Public Safety received an anonymous phone call, alerting the team to a possible bomb threat, location unspecified. Emergency preparedness response teams were immediately notified, including NYPD, and a canvas of each building was conducted.

NYPD is currently on campus as part of this investigation, but at this time, no credible threat to our campus community has been verified.

Please note that in the case of an active emergency, or a more credible threat is identified, a CUNY Alert will be issued (received as a phone call and/or text message to your preferred number on record).

In the interim, if additional updates are required, we will notify the campus in a timely fashion. Know that, as always, our first priority is the safety of our community.

Normal operations and classes continue as scheduled.

If any suspicious activity is observed, please call Public Safety at (212) 650-7777 or the NYPD by dialing 911.
