Luis Abreu, a senior at The City College of New York majoring in civil engineering, is one of 25 Americans selected as Minority Student Fellows by the Washington, D.C.-based Transportation Research Board (TRB), a program unit of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The new Fund will support qualified undergraduate or graduate students majoring in chemistry. Nine City College of New York students have been selected for the prestigious 2020 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, gaining skills critical to national security and economic competitiveness.
