According to the U.S. Department Labor, employment opportunities for computer and information systems managers are expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016. The Grove School’s Masters in Information Systems is primarily intended for working professionals with backgrounds in engineering or science who will manage the next generation of business information technology. The MIS program teaches concepts of business software and systems management, economics and finance, and quantitative management skills. Cohorts of students work together on a final semester-long project in such areas as medical Informatics, business process engineering, and financial computing. Faculty members in Grove’s Department of Computer Science play a leading role in this program, providing learning opportunities for the city's professionals who will come to manage the next generation of business information technology.
The program is offered in the evening and designed so that students with full-time employments can complete it in two years.
