2024-2025 Important Deadlines

Summer 2024

• *July 18th, 2024 - Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal for summer 2024 semester.
• August 1st, 2024 - Last day to submit a federal direct loan,  Parent PLUS loan, or GRAD PLUS loan request for a summer 2024 semester only.
• **August 2nd, 2024 - Last day for a student to submit a 2024-2025 Professional Judgment Appeal for summer 2024 semester.
• August 23rd, 2024 - Last day for a student who is only enrolled for summer to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.
• September 21st, 2024 - Last day for a summer 2024 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2024-2025 verification.

Fall 2024

• August 31st, 2024 - The last day to submit a fall /spring 24-25 New York State Excelsior Scholarship application. Current Excelsior recipients should not submit this application.
• September 17th, 2024 - Last day to declare or change major/minor concentration (this is required for students with 60 or more earned credits). The deadline for any changes or updates on the 2024-2025 TAP Application is June 30th, 2024.
• *October 3rd, 2024 - Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal.
• **October 14th, 2024 - Last day for a student to submit a 2024-2025 Professional Judgment Appeal request for a fall 2024 only appeal (**see additional notes below).
• November 4th, 2024 - 60% Date of the term - Student has earned 100% of the federal funding for the current payment period.
• December 5th, 2024 - Last day to submit a federal direct loan, Parent PLUS loan, or GRAD PLUS loan request for a fall 2024 only loan.
• December 21st, 2024 - Last day for a student who is only enrolled for fall to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.
• January 9th, 2024 - Last day for a fall 2024 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2024-2025 verification. Document(s) must be submitted before Spring 2025.
• June 30th, 2024 - Last day to apply for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

Spring 2025

• February 14th, 2025 - Last day to declare or change major/minor concentration (this is required for students with 60 or more earned credits). The deadline for any changes or updates on the 2024-2025 TAP Application is June 30th 2025.
• March 6th, 2025 - Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal.
• March 15th, 2025 - Last day to submit fall 2024 and spring 2025 or Spring 2025 only professional judgment appeal / dependency appeal / family contribution appeal / cost of attendance appeal.
• May 1st, 2025 - Last day to submit a federal direct loan,  Parent PLUS loan, or GRAD PLUS loan request for a Spring 2025 only loan (*see additional notes below).
• May 22nd, 2025 - Last day for a student who is enrolled for fall and spring or spring only to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.
• June 30th, 2025 - Last day to apply for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).
• July 24th, 2025 - Last day for a spring 2024 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2024-2025 verification.

*May 1st, 2025 - Last day to submit fall 2024 and spring 2025 Federal Direct loan, Parent PLUS loan or GRAD PLUS loan. In order to receive a fall and spring loan, you must have completed 6 credits in the fall and must be registered for 6 credits for the spring semester.

**March 15th, 2025 - Last day to submit fall 2024 and spring 2025 or spring 2025 only professional judgment appeal / dependency appeal / family contribution appeal / cost of attendance appeal.

Established federal professing deadlines prohibit the college from processing a 2024-2025 FAFSA after the student's last date of enrollment. Students who have not filed a FAFSA for the 2024-2025 academic year and who are no longer enrolled for the academic year have missed the deadline to be considered for Federal Student Aid programs for the 2024-2025 academic year.
