Shiym Chastanet is a Saint Lucian-born biological anthropology student at CUNY BA. Since immigrating to America he aspired to study paleontology and at a young age learned his interest laid in human evolution. His current academic interest lies in studying hybridization in human revolution and researching the biology of cross river gorillas. In terms of career goals, he aims to become a paleoanthropologist that conducts research at the American Museum of Natural History and be a professor at a university. After earning his bachelor's degree, he will work towards a master degree. By earning a Master of art degree in Individualized Study through the MALS program. Upon completion of these goals, he aims to earn his PhD at the Richard Gilder Graduate School.
