Marlene McKinney is a proud City College Fellow majoring in Physics with a concentration in Biomedical Physics. Her research focuses on the use of elastic protein derivatives for vascular regeneration under the mentorship of Professor Ronald L. Koder. She is heavily engaged in the City College STEM community through her work on executive boards of the CCNY Physics Club, the undergraduate chapter of Physicians for Human Rights, and CCNY Women in Science. She plans on entering an MD/PhD program after her undergraduate education, to become a neurosurgeon-physicist and contribute towards health equity in Black and Brown communities nationwide.
