agrande002@citymail.cuny.edu
Amir Granderson (he/his) is an undergraduate student from Brooklyn pursuing a double major in History and Black Studies. His research interests are based in precolonial Sahelian West Africa and forms of cultural and demographic exchange between the Sahel and North African states. Amir is developing a project on identity and race within 20th-century Egypt and Sudan, as seen through the eyes of British Archaeologists. Further in his academic career, Amir hopes to have the language training and knowledge needed to expand his research to an earlier period, medieval Southern and Eastern Libya. Amir plans to continue his research and earn a PhD in History.
