Biographical Note: The Manifestaciones Art Exhibit features the work of 12 artists who trace their roots to the Dominican Republic. Via this collaboration, the 12 artists founded the Dominican York Proyecto GRAFICA, a printmaking collective headed by Pepe Coronado. The other eleven artists include Carlos Almonte, iliana emilia García, Scherezade García, Alex Guerrero, Luanda Lozano, Miguel Luciano, Chiqui Mendoza, Reynaldo García Pantaleón, Rene De Los Santos, Moses Ros-Suárez, and Rider Ureña. The mission of the Dominican York Proyecto GRAFICA is to advance the state of contemporary Dominican American graphic arts.
Scope and Content Note: The Collection consists of an exhibit containing twelve contemporary work of art produced by New York Dominican artists.
