CPDI

Career & Professional Development Institute

The goal of the Career and Professional Development Institute (CPDI) is to provide both individual and programmatic services to students from their freshman year to senior year. These services help students develop their professional identity, which can lead to full-time, career-focused employment upon graduation.

Students can participate in one or more of the following programs:

  • Explorer Program: Choosing a major is the first step in developing your career path. Join the Explorer Program to help you decide on the right major for your future.
  • CPDI Internship Program: Employers today are looking for students with experience. The best way to gain that experience is through an internship, and CPDI can help connect you with valuable opportunities.
  • CPDI Senior Recruitment Program: Let CPDI assist you in finding career-focused job opportunities to help launch your career after graduation. This program is also open to recent alumni.
  • Senior Experience: A hands-on program designed to prepare you for the job market, with personalized support to guide you through your final year.

Additionally, students can attend workshops, search CCNY Career Connections for job and internship opportunities, access valuable career information on our website, attend employer on-campus events, and schedule an appointment with a career counselor to discuss their personal career goals.
