Village Pride LGBTQ+ History Walking Tour
Celebrate LGBTQ+ history month with CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center, The Towers, and Delta Phi Omega Alpha Epsilon Chapter!
Join us and Christopher Street Tours for a tour around Greenwich Village, we will visit historic sites where revolutions began, riots were sparked, and history was made.
We will see common threads within the LGBTQ+ generations who have lived life in New York City, sharing their stories throughout the tour. You’ll also learn more about individual stories of Queer activists and the major political and social movements that have shaped the LGBTQ+ community over time.
Sites include the historic Stonewall Inn, the Gay Liberation Monument, the NYC AIDS Memorial, the LGBT Community Center, and more!
When: Saturday, October 18, 2024 from 12PM to 2PM
Where: McCarthy Square (Across from Morandi Restaurant located at 211 Waverly Place)
Notes Regarding RSVP:
- There are 3 ticket types: general tickets for students, staff, and faculty, tickets for Towers residents (revealed only with promo code), and tickets for Delta Phi Omega Alpha Epsilon Chapter members (revealed only with promo code)
- All guests must RSVP to join the tour
- There are limited tickets available. If no tickets are available, please join our waitlist in case spots open up.

About the CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning Student Center (est. Fall 2021) is a collaborative resource dedicated to celebrating, empowering, and supporting LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty at CCNY. We are committed to leading with a social justice lens, offering and connecting LGBTQ+ communities at CCNY with accessible support services, relevant programming, engaging events, paid internship/job opportunities, and general guidance navigating college, home life, and futures outside of higher education for those who identify as LGBTQ+ or questioning. Christopher Street Tours (est. 2018) is an LGBTQ+-owned and -operated walking tour company with the mission of increasing access to LGBTQ+ history by sharing stories and uplifting voices from those that paved the way before us. Our tours are LGBTQ+ focused and led by expert educators, storytellers, and activists in the community. We are inspired by the deep history and impactful stories of the LGBTQ+ community across the globe.
