To Live & Die in BK is a short comedy film about a queer all-Black household. Three roommates, Cyn, Seven, and Erykah, struggle to find a new fourth roommate that they can get along with… and someone who meshes with their leftist, anti-gentrification politics. Backs to the wall, they settle in with someone who turns out to be more than bargained for.
Shane Santana is a 2020 CCNY graduate with a B.A. in Creative Writing. For the 2017-2018 academic year, Shane served as the President of CCNY’s LGBTQ+ Open Alliance Club. Since 2019, Shane worked in the motion picture and film industry as a production assistant, second assistant director, and script supervisor for various projects and short films. In Spring 2022, Shane graduated with a Master’s degree in Directing from the NYC School of Visual Arts.
