Dr. Wright is a graduate of Barnard College at Columbia University and holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the City University of New York. Prior to joining the chemistry department at CCNY, Dr. Wright was a Lecturer in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. 

Since obtaining her doctorate, she has focused on undergraduate education and active learning methodologies as a means to improve learning outcomes in large enrollment gateway courses in general chemistry and cell and molecular biology.  In addition to teaching at City College, she has honed her teaching skills at a number of different schools within the CUNY system, including Hunter College, York College and Lehman College. 

Dr. Wright is excited to be joining CCNY's newly formed Health Professions Preparation Certificate Program, an accelerated post-baccalaureate pre-medical training ground, where she will be teaching general chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry.
