Lily Lam
Profile
Dr. Lam is a medical student advisor at the CUNY School of Medicine. She is a board certified family medicine physician, a graduate of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center family medicine residency program, and earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Previously, she was a core faculty member in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Northwell Glen Cove Hospital and an assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Her current interests include physician wellness and assisting young medical learners.
Responsibilities include:
- Advises and mentors at-risk pre-clerkship and clerkship students
- Provides Career Advising workshops, both mandatory and optional sessions
- Advises medical students on leave of absence
- Manages compliance issues – fit testing and health clearance
- Serves as faculty for the pipeline – Health Professions Mentorship Program
