Profile
Professor Perl was an active improvisational piano accompanist for a number of New York dance companies, including Jose Limon, Paul Taylor, Eric Hawkins, and Alvin Ailey. As a music producer, Professor Perl has embraced technology in its most creative applications, ranging from his work with Reprise rock act ThisWay to his own multi-ethnic, global music project Wired Planet. In his role as teacher and guide, Jonathan has assisted a diverse range of artists, such as jazz player/composers Pat Metheney and Graham Haynes, film composer Richard Einhorn, and popular artists John Cale (Velvet Underground) and Stuart Mattheman (Sade). Currently, Professor Perl provides training for Apple Logic Pro in New York, Boston and Washington DC.
