Akasha Solis

Akasha has always been interested in serving the public and working on behalf of something larger than themselves. With a deep passion for LGBTQIA equity issues, her focus lies in providing safe spaces for marginalized communities and incorporating new voices into the narrative of the outdoor community.

In 2016, Akasha graduated from The Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at the City College of New York, where she pursued dual degrees in Political Science and International Studies, along with a minor in Women's Studies. Following her graduation, Akasha continued her work in public higher education while pursuing further academic achievements. She recently completed her second degree, obtaining a Master's from the Branding and Integrated Communications Program at CCNY. This degree specialized in Strategy and Account Planning, supplemented by a minor in Public Relations.

Beyond Akasha's professional pursuits, she possesses a diverse range of hobbies. This includes, engaging others in discussions about astrology and tarot. Akasha finds solace in the great outdoors through activities such as hiking, camping, and backpacking. Writing serves as a creative outlet for her, and she has a knack for online shopping. Gaming, karaoke, dancing, watching anime, attending concerts, and expressing her love of Kpop are among the various interests that captivate her time and energy.
