For more than 175 years, The City College of New York (originally founded as ‘The Free Academy’) has welcomed generations of students to our campus to learn under the guidance of world-class faculty. Together, our students, faculty, and staff look to address some of the greatest challenges faced by communities both local to the Harlem and greater New York area, and around the world.

It is in keeping with the tradition of providing access to excellence for our students that The City College Office of Institutional Advancement, Communications & External Affairs works to develop and support a strong foundation of resources required to fulfill the educational mission of CCNY. Our mandate is to serve the campus community through rigorous fund development, donor stewardship, alumni/student mentoring, programs as well as providing a campus-wide marketing and communications program that focuses on consistent messaging and identity, public affairs, publications, advertising, and online communication tools. As the team has grown over the past few years, we now serve as the College’s voice on matters related to government affairs, collegewide event programming and, in partnership with units across campus, manage a portfolio of innovation and entrepreneurship programs that serve students both across campus, and throughout the CUNY system. We partner with the leadership of City College in providing an integrated approach to building and expanding our public presence, while supporting the College's strategic goal of remaining a nationally recognized institution devoted to providing a pathway to social mobility for our students and alumni and disseminating the research and creative activity of our faculty and staff.
