The City College of New York remains among the top 100 Best Regional Universities in the North and a Top Public School in the North, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2018 rankings. The work of groundbreaking art director George Lois will be on display at The City College of New York and celebrated with an opening reception on Tuesday, September 12. Lois, considered the original “Mad Man” of advertising, donated a portion of his archive, a collection reflecting 60 years of American culture and social evolution, to City College (CCNY) in 2016. Zadie Smith, the award-winning British-born novelist, is the recipient of this year’s City College of New York’s Langston Hughes Medal. She joins a list of literary luminaries, including James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou and Walter Mosley, who have received the honor.
