The Great Hall
Stained glass windows and marble columns that rise to a height of 65 feet are features of this elegant, cathedrallike venue. The crown jewel of The City College of New York, the Great Hall provides an ample 14,000 square feet suitable for a wide variety of programs. From banquets to graduations and conferences, the Great Hall holds a capacity of 600 to 1,100 persons depending on the occasion. Edwin H. Blashfield’s original mural, titled The Graduate, anchors the Hall, depicting the passing of wisdom from The Alma Mater onto a young scholar.
