Dr. Reza Khanbilvardi, a Licensed Professional Engineer in New York, and Connecticut, is the Founding Executive Director of CUNY Remote Sensing of the Earth Institute ( CREST Institute) since 2010, and Founding Director of a NOAA-Cooperative Science Center (2001-2021) at The City College of New York. He is also Editor-In-Chief of International Journal for Water (InderScience Publications). Dr. Khanbilvardi has worked extensively with agencies like NOAA, NASA, NSF, USAID, UN, USDA, and CRDF. Dr. Khanbilvardi obtained his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Shiraz University, Masters degree (Environmental Engineering) Doctoral (CE/Water Resourced Engineering) degrees and Post Doctoral (Water Resources) award from Pennsylvania State University . His research interests are :Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources availability and Scarcity; Remote Sensing Application and GIS in Flood Mapping; and Integrated Water Resources Management.
