Program Overview
City College joined with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) which provided seed funding to build a Cybersecurity Master’s Degree Program in collaboration with private sector and government partners. This program is part of a broader initiative designed to stimulate the cybersecurity ecosystem and establish New York City as the global leader in cybersecurity. At City College, the goal is to develop an industry-informed curriculum providing students with the practical skills required for professional success, and to integrate classroom learning with internships and other industry-supported events.




Program Learning Outcomes
- Ability to design computer networks and understand the architecture and component functions.
- Competency with industry-informed best practices and hands-on applied learning of cybersecurity tools/techniques and familiarity with current technologies.
- Proficiency in defending networked information systems and mitigating threats.

Cybersecurity MS Degree
As the safety of electronic systems and devices increasingly impacts personal privacy, economic competitiveness, and national security, there is a rapidly growing need for cybersecurity professionals possessing the skills to protect against malicious attacks. City College Cybersecurity graduates will be equipped with the foundational knowledge and cyber toolkit required to enter the workforce in roles devoted to building & protecting society’s electronic infrastructure.
