Allison Bishop

Proof Trading Company, New York

Dr. Allison Bishop is the President and co-founder of Proof Trading, a startup agency broker-dealer for US equities. She is currently serving as the Vice President of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), and is the creator of CFAIL, an annual conference for failed approaches and insightful losses in cryptology. She was formerly a quantitative researcher at IEX, an assistant professor of computer science at Columbia University, and an adjunct researcher for the Institute for Defense Analyses. Her areas of expertise include trading algorithm design, market microstructure, cryptography, applied machine learning, and distributed systems.

Adel Elmaghraby

University of Louisville, Kentucky

Professor Adel Elmaghraby is the Director of Research and Innovation for the University of Louisville Digital Transformation Center, Director of Industrial Research and Innovation for Speed School of Engineering, and Winnia Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and owner of the Hive. He received his PhD and MS degrees from the University of Wisconsin –Madison and held appointments at the Software Engineering Institute - Carnegie-Mellon University and the American University in Cairo. He is a well-published author, a public speaker, member of editorial boards. He has served on multiple non-profit boards in Louisville, Kentucky including the Community Foundation, New Direction Housing, and the World Affairs Council of KY and Southern Indiana.

Dipankar Raychaudhuri

Rutgers University, New Jersey

Professor Dipankar Raychaudhuri is the Director of WINLAB (Wireless Information Network Lab). He has served (or is serving as) Principal Investigator for several large National Science Foundation funded projects including the "ORBIT" wireless testbed, the “MobilityFirst” future Internet architecture and the “COSMOS” Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) program.

Daria Siegel

Economic Development Corporation, New York

Daria Siegel serves as Vice President of Emerging Tech within the Initiatives department at New York City Economic Development Corporation supporting the growth of the technology industry to create opportunities for all New Yorkers. Her portfolio includes Cyber NYC which focuses on building the cyber workforce of the future, here, in NYC. In her previous role at the Alliance for Downtown New York, Daria built and managed LMHQ, a collaborative shared workspace designed to support the growing creative industries in Lower Manhattan. Daria forged strategic partnerships with thought leaders and organizations which grew to serve thousands through events and membership. Daria received a Masters of Urban Planning from New York University in 2008.

Joseph Soryal

AT&T Labs, New Jersey

Dr. Soryal has over seventeen years of progressive engineering experience between managing teams, and leading complex technical projects focusing on telecommunication systems , cyber security (more than 10 years in AT&T and 18 years in research and development) transportation and physical security (7 years) and. Teaching cyber security (11 years).

He has over 200 patent applications (about 60 granted already and working on about 10 more) being filed or have been filed in the past 4 years by AT&T in areas of Telecommunications, Cloud architecture, Cyber Security, Cloud Architecture, Privacy, Authentication, Whitebox and Cloud Security, SIM and eSIM Fraud protection, Autonomous Vehicles Security, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality Security, Blockchain, Home Automation and Smart Cities, Smart Grid Security, Decision Making Systems

Gil Zussman

Columbia University, New York

Since 2007 Professor Gil Zussman has been with Columbia University where he is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is also affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and a member of the Data Science Institute Executive Committee. Between 2014 and 2016 he was a Visiting Scientist in the School of Computer Science in Tel Aviv University. His research interests are in the area of networking, and in particular in the areas of wireless, mobile, and resilient networks.

Gil is an IEEE Fellow and recipient of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) award for distinguished students, the Marie Curie Outgoing International Fellowship, the Fulbright Fellowship, the DTRA Young Investigator Award, the NSF CAREER Award, and the Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship. He is the Columbia PI of the NSF PAWR COSMOS testbed. He and a co-recipient of seven best paper awards, including the ACM SIGMETRICS / IFIP Performance’06 Best Paper Award, the 2011 IEEE Communications Society Award for Advances in Communication, and the ACM CoNEXT’16 Best Paper Award.
