Vision Portaits - Film Screening and Director Talk
Extensive eyesight loss and the possibility of total blindness - what would this mean to a filmmaker? Filmmaker Rodney Evans (Brother to Brother, 2004) received this diagnosis, and made this profoundly personal documentary film.
Vision Portraits not only documents Evan’s own genetic eye disorder, but shows how three other working artists with visual impairments—photographer John Dugdale, writer Ryan Knighton, and dancer Kayla Hamilton— continue to make art with their changed abilities.
On the festival and theatrical circuit now, we are very lucky to be able to screen this film, that is screening at selected theaters in the country.
" an inspiring film, a funny and informative feature whose subjects were creative kindred spirits I’d never seen onscreen before." - Odie Henderson, RogerEbert.com
Director Rodney Evans will speak after the film.
