Archives as Muse, a Harlem Storytelling Project

This initiative strengthens the program’s commitment to connect, serve and celebrate Harlem.  It mobilizes creative writers and storytellers to inform public discourse.  We are grateful to the Luce Foundation for their funding.  

Along with Archive courses offered in the MFA program, we will be organizing symposia in the coming semesters.   On April 30th, we have our first event, an artist talk with Lewis Watts,  photographer, archivist and professor emeritus, UC Santa Cruz.  His virtual exhibition is up on our website.
