Lunch Talk with Editor Lillian Benson
Join us for lunch, film and talk as we see clips from Lillian E. Benson's work and ask her about becoming an award winning editor and first Black woman invited to join the American Cinema Editors (ACE). Her body of work ranges from the Eyes on the Prize II series to Alvin Ailey: Beyond the Steps to Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise and more.
Lillian's in town to be honored by Black Public Media with a Trailblazer award on May 1st at the Apollo's Victoria Theater, as part of their PitchBlack 2025 Gala. (info and tickets).
We can have a "sneak preview" of her work and hear about her life and career in this casual, free event. Join us!
