Explore Graduate Studies: Master’s in Translational Medicine Open House
Are You Interested in Developing Innovative Clinical Solutions that Impact Human Health?
The City College of New York’s Grove School of Engineering and The CUNY School of Medicine launched a new and innovative Master’s in Translational Medicine (MTM) degree granting program to provide students from diverse academic backgrounds with unparalleled training in the process of designing and developing a medical technology.
This one year multi-disciplinary program is driven by the increasing demand for engineers, biomedical scientists, and other STEM professionals who can successfully transform scientific and engineering ideas into practical solutions that will impact the direction of patient care. The central focus of our MTM program is the interdisciplinary Biodesign project that incorporates engineering, clinical exposure, research practices, and entrepreneurship training to develop a functional prototype that addresses an identified unmet need in clinical healthcare. MTM graduates will be uniquely positioned to successfully pursue a variety of career opportunities in industry, start-up, research or clinical environments, and thus increase the rate at which scientific discoveries and technology innovations can be commercialized for broader clinical and societal use.
If you are interested in learning more, join us Thursday October 24th from 6:30-8pm to hear more about how this unique type of degree can advance your career. Dr. Jeffrey Garanich, Director of the MTM program, will cover program logistics, curriculum overview, admissions process and employment opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to tour our brand new MTM Makerspace – a state-of-the-art prototyping facility and teaching lab.
