The City College Libraries Division of Archives and Special Collections is delighted to again host CCNY WOMEN MAKE ART 2022,
continuing the long 15 year tradition of showcasing the talent and creativity of the women of our CCNY community.
We are amazed and delighted by the amount of submissions and the quality of the work; we have had over 45 entries! We take great pride in the diversity of the artists who have shared their work with us! Whether figurative, abstract or somewhere in-between; traditional or unconventional in the use of materials, ranging from oversize to quite small, colorful or monochromatic; we come together to celebrate WOMEN in all our diversity.
Indeed what connects us most strongly are our differences! Not only in our choice of media, but in our own selves; our gender, age, heritage and even what we think about and what we chose to share with each other are clear indications of our individuality.
We are also connected by our love of art and our attachment to our campus community; this our strength as well as our legacy. By exposing our creations and ourselves, we hope you too, will discover and celebrate the talent, commitment and pride we take in our individuality and our shared connection to City College!
