Dr. Angelo Lampousis is the inaugural Executive Director of the Charles B. Rangel Infrastructure Workforce Initiative at the City College of New York. He has served as a lecturer and academic advisor for the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences since 2013 and received his tenure in 2018. In 2019 he was awarded the Professor of the Year Award from ASTM International, an award conferred to five other Professors at that time. He is an OSHA authorized outreach trainer in construction and general industry. He is certified by the Urban Green Council as a GPRO instructor in the topics of construction management, operations and maintenance, and fundamentals of building green. His most recent publication of 2023 was related to legacy contamination in coastline locations of the Northern Aegean Sea and involved several CCNY students as co-authors. He also contributed a case study in the 2023 “Teaching and Collecting Technical Standards” Handbook for Librarians and Educators, published by Purdue University Press. Related to his current role, Dr. Lampousis is managing awards from the United States Department of Education, matching awards from the New York State, and a Brownfields Job Training grant issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
